Patients should always direct queries to their clinical team; HODS cannot respond to queries from patients about their investigations or care.

Urgent samples

For urgent samples or those arriving outside standard working hours:

• Notify the relevant laboratory section directly using the contact numbers listed below

• Take extra care to notify us of any samples arriving on Fridays

• Ensures priority handling of urgent cases

• Allows us to prepare for out-of-hours sample processing

• Helps prevent delays in critical diagnoses
